Because of its amazing sights and the cool photographs documenting my trip to Egypt, I decided to put this travel page on my website, even though I did not travel by motorcycle. I thought you would want to peruse the sights with me!
I spent a total of three weeks in Egypt, traveling from Cairo to Alexandria on the Nile Delta and Mediterannean, to the Sinai Peninsula, back to Cairo, and then down the Nile.
When I first arrived, I hired a taxi driver named Gamal for a week of sightseeing, and we drove to the Sinai Peninsula, where I hiked Mt. Sinai. I spent the remaining two weeks with an official group touring the Nile, exploring all the temples and pyramids along the way.
One of my most exciting memories is hiking to the Great Pyramid with a friend in the middle of the night, with the assistance of a black-market guide. (It only cost me $125 and it was a fascinating, fun adventure!)
I also snorkeled in the Red Sea—one of the best diving spots in the world.
